I received my first Ghurka piece almost 35 years ago when I was a teenager.  It was a black make-up bag -- a gift from my mother -- which I still use today (see photo!).  I was so excited and considered it a right of passage because it was usually my older sister who received all the great Ghurka products.  Since then my mother has given me many wonderful pieces --- all of which continue to stand the test of time -- and I look forward to doing the same for my daughter.
