I decided to become a professional photographer in June 2012 after being laid off from my job. At the time, I was a Canon shooter owing the 5DMkII, 7D and assorted lenses and was mainly shooting family sessions. In February 2013, I decided to attend PPA in Atlanta. It was my first photographer's convention and I was excited to see the Canon booth, meet other photographers and learn more about photography. I recall going to the exhibition floor and the Canon booth was swamped so I decided to walk around the hall and I came across the Sony booth. It was at the Sony booth that I met Sony Artisans Brian Smith and David McClain. Up to this point, I had no real knowledge of the Sony camera product line, by after meeting Brian and David I was blown away, especially by the EVF and in-body stabilization. A few months later I attended WPPI, spoke with Brian again and it was then that I decided to switch. I returned home, sold my Canon gear and bought an A77 and A65. I have since photographed more than 50 wedding and have taken thousands and thousands of beautiful, memorable images with various Sony cameras and lenses. I love my Sony cameras and rely on them to move my photography business forward. Since 2013, I was owned: A77, A99, A850, A77II, NEX F3, NEX 7, NEX 6, A6000, A6300. A7, A7II, A7R, RX100, RX100II, RX100II, RX10 and RX10II. They all have one thing in common and that is excellence. I can't imagine not having a Sony camera in my bag.
