The easiest way to create a button is to use the button feature in Pro Layout. However, if you're using advanced grids, here are three ways you can create a button manually:
Note: If you want your CTA to have custom details, like rounded edges or bordered frames, use an image or vector with the desired details included.
If you have a .jpeg or .png in the right shape and color for your button, you can upload it directly to your Maker story.
After uploading the image to the editor, follow these steps:
Note: To avoid rasterizing the text, don't add the image with the text included. Add the text in Maker to keep it crisp and SEO friendly.
Adding an SVG is the best way to ensure your buttons will appear as crisp as possible. Since SVG doesn't rasterize text, you can choose whether to include the text in the vector, or add it using overlay text in Maker. (If you want the option to easily change or update the text in the future, add it in Maker. Otherwise, include it with your SVG.)
If you're adding the text as overlay text in Maker, follow the same steps as above for uploading the button:
If your SVG has the text included, you can skip step #4.
If you don't have an image or vector file on hand, you can create a CTA button directly in Maker.
