BADLA

Badla is a gender-reversed remake of the 2019 Spanish box-office hit Contratiempo which frequently stirs up ideas and dictums from the Mahabharata. Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is a biographical picture of how Rani Laxmibai waged a war against the East India Company. It depicts her journey from her birthplace, Bithoor to becoming the Rani of Jhansi and eventually turning into a warrior Queen. Kangana deserves your attention in every frame. Filmmakers succeeded in striking the patriotic passion in the audience and the spirit and valour of the story keep you engaged in the pages of rich history.

GULLY BOY

Gully Boy is an underdog story about a poor fellow from Dharavi who dreams bigger than the reality. Extraordinary acting from Ranveer Singh and Alia Batt was added beauty to the story and direction. The music and lyrics have the same powerful feeling as the story and performance. Gully Boy has swept the box office collections with its story, screenplay, and direction along with its famous song, ‘Apna time aayega’.

EK LADKI TOH DEKHA TOH AISA LAGA

Once Sahil (R.Rajkumar) proposes to Sweety (Sonam) the story unfolds as he finds out that she is in love with somebody else. The bulk of entertainment comes through the performance by Anil Kapoor. This movie, among all the latest Bollywood movies, has given the best message of lesbian relations and is also received warmly by the audience. All the actors have together contributed to the new theme in the movie and they succeeded in bringing out a beautiful and modern love film with compromising the entertainment.

KESARI

Anurag Singh’s ‘Kesari’ is a retelling story of the Battle of Saragrahi in 1897 where 21 Sikh soldiers fought against an Afghan army of 10000 men. The story and the direction take the audience into the lives of soldiers where our history textbooks did not let us invade. With technical brilliance, intelligent writing and, mind-blowing performance, Kesari is a loud war cry that inspires strong feelings of patriotism and it also lets your heart bleed with tragedy in the climax.

URI-THE SURGICAL STRIKE

URI-The Surgical Strike is filmed as a different Bollywood war film. This film is based on the surgical strike conducted in 2016 by the Indian Army against militant launch pads in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). The camera work is really appreciative. URI puts a spotlight on the thankless job they do with passion in their hearts and fire in their battles.
