This fall, Ghurka is proud to introduce a collaboration with famed socio-environmental advocate Céline Cousteau. Céline’s most recent project is a documentary film titled Tribes on the Edge which focuses on the human-nature relationship, the 3,500 uncontacted indigenous people living in the Amazon’s Vale do Javari.
Céline’s goal is to educate an international community about the indigenous people and biodiverse ecosystem in the Amazon, to bring support to entities on the ground working with and on relevant issues, and to empower the tribes to govern their own fate.
If humans are to survive and thrive, how can we act to protect the guardians who preserve the natural resources upon which we all depend?
A battle for survival is happening right now in the Brazilian Amazon, just 5000 people fight to protect our collective future.
We are happy to have you be part of this greater human journey.
