I joined the Shinola team in November 2013 as a pattern and sample maker in the leather department.

My Story

I am a 2000 graduate from the College for Creative Studies (CCS), where Shinola’s headquarters and factories are based.

As an avid cyclist, I previously helped run The Hub Bike Shop and Back Alley Bikes, a non-profit community bike shop. My interest in making messenger bags from my own sewing studio in Eastern Market is what eventually led me to my new role at Shinola, where I am now making samples of Shinola’s small leather goods, purses, backpacks and more.

I am also lending my hand to help CCS with their burgeoning Fashion Accessories Design program, which was developed in collaboration with Shinola.
